I'm TJ Burke, proud founder and co-owner of Altitude. With nearly two decades as a resident of WNC, I've become an active member of this community, contributing and forming meaningful connections along the way.

My professional journey encompasses a diverse range of experiences, from sales management to small construction projects. Through my sales background, I've learned the value of communication and follow-through, which are the cornerstones of our business.

I take great joy in being hands-on and personally involved in every project, ensuring top-notch results. From start to finish, I am dedicated to overseeing every detail and ensuring that our clients' are happy with the results.

Beyond my passion for delivering exceptional services, Altitude was started from a desire to enjoy the beauty of our area. Spending time outdoors is not just a hobby for me; it's an essential part of who I am. Our picturesque surroundings inspire us daily, and drive our commitment to help maintain remarkable spaces that harmonize with the natural beauty of WNC.

When I'm not immersed in projects, you can find me indulging in nature with my family. Whether it's mountain biking, camping, or relaxing by the lake, these moments recharge my spirit and drive.

I’m Matt Brown, A proud native of WNC, I bring a lifetime of familiarity with our beautiful region to our work. Born and raised here, my roots run deep, and I have an innate understanding of the unique essence that makes our community so special.

Professionally, I've honed my skills in sales and sales management, showcasing an unwavering work ethic and a can-do attitude. My journey began at the foundation of the beer and wine industry, gradually ascending the ranks from delivery to sales, sales management, and senior sales management. Through these experiences, I've forged meaningful connections with people, a skill that seamlessly carries over to our client relationships.

As a property owner and enthusiast, my connection to real estate is more than professional—it's personal. Managing my own investment properties has deepened my appreciation for effective communication and meticulous home care. I'm fully invested in the hands-on approach at Altitude, finding immense satisfaction in witnessing the journey in the incredible transformations we help create.

Beyond the business realm, my heart races for outdoor adventures. Whether it's conquering mountain trails, crushing a road bike ride, or simply savoring time outdoors with my family, I relish every opportunity to soak in the natural beauty of WNC. A true testament to my passion for two wheels, I remain a dedicated competitor in local motorcycle enduro races and flat track events.

At Altitude, we are committed to the well-being of our community and the environment, which drives our commitment to sustainable practices. Through this, we have formulated a set of pledges that we are continuously enhancing. The following points outline our ongoing initiatives aimed at continuous improvement while upholding our strong commitment to the community and the environment.

Landfill Last Policy: Our foremost goal is to minimize landfill waste through the Junk Removal portion of our operations. We diligently recycle, repurpose, and donate items before resorting to landfill disposal. By categorizing materials into recyclables like metal and plastics, we ensure efficient sorting. Home furnishings are meticulously evaluated for their remaining useful life, enabling us to donate them to organizations such as Habitat or Goodwill. We responsibly manage the disposal of batteries, old electronics, computers, and televisions, ensuring the recovery of recyclable components.

Eco-Conscious Cleaning Solutions: Acknowledging the environmental impact of house washing, encompassing water consumption, detergents, and emissions from gas-powered pressure washers, Altitude takes proactive measures to mitigate these effects. Our approach involves conducting services with efficiency to reduce water usage. We prioritize thorough research into the ecological impact of our chosen detergent solutions, ensuring that our practices are environmentally sound. To curtail our carbon footprint, we prioritize the utilization of our all-electric soft wash system, minimizing both emissions and noise pollution. We are actively exploring the feasibility of an all-electric wash rig powered by solar energy, intended for both soft wash and high-pressure cleaning systems, with the aspiration of making this concept a reality in the near future.

Contributing Through Charitable Work: Our commitment to giving back to our supportive community remains unwavering. As a token of our gratitude, we consistently seek opportunities to donate our time and services to individuals who might be facing budgetary constraints but stand to benefit immensely from our assistance. By extending our support, we aim to enhance their quality of life and preempt potential future challenges. Additionally, we extend our outreach to aspiring entrepreneurs, offering insights learned from our journey and empowering them to navigate the challenges of establishing their own businesses successfully.
